Job summary

Comtech Allerium in Broomfield, CO seeks a Network Support II to monitor, troubleshoot, and support mission-critical IP networks and related applications. The role includes handling incidents and providing first-line support from a 4-day, 10-hour night shift.

You will work under the NOC management team, escalating as needed and sharing knowledge across teams to improve incident resolution and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least one (1) year experience in a Help Desk-type support or Network Administration role.
• Experience with Remedy/Helix ticketing systems.
• Ability to multitask in a high pressure, fast paced environment.
• Knowledge of Windows Server OS (2003, 2008) and Windows Office Suite.
• Unix knowledge; Solaris preferred.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communications.
• PSAP environments knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge of network management tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network elements for anomalies and troubleshoot issues using network management software.
• Identify, triage, resolve or escalate incidents to Tier2 NOC.
• Monitor email for incidents and customer requests.
• Provide first-line technical support for customers via dedicated helpdesk line.
• Notify customers on incident progress or status changes.
• Keep abreast of ticket trends and alert management on recurring issues.
• Perform deeper troubleshooting to enable one-touch ticket resolution.
• Share knowledge within Tier1 and NOC teams.
