Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex diagnostics on light to heavy vehicles in a mobile/field setting.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical, fuel, HVAC, and mechanical systems, road testing, and accurate documentation using the TRAIT app. Candidates should have DOT/compliance experience and strong tool skills.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED with 3 years related field or 5 years related field experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools to perform required duties.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory training or ability to obtain DOT medical card.
• DOT background check and physical clearance prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections plus follow-up repairs in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and related systems.
• Road test vehicles and document findings on RO via TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck operations; coordinate with management.
• Complete DOT forms accurately; communicate with clients and support teams.
