McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic II in Montgomery, AL to perform the full range of trailer and refrigeration repairs, from preventive maintenance to complex mechanical work.

The role requires diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, alignments, and various trailer systems, with on-call rotation and strong safety practices. The position offers competitive hourly pay ($26.00–$32.00) with a $0.50 shift premium, plus comprehensive benefits beginning after 60 days and a 10:00 PM–6:30 AM

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years diesel repairs/trailer refrigeration maintenance experience.
• ASE PMI PMI (T8) or equivalent certification desired.
• Valid Class C license; Class A preferred.
• Safety and documentation knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Grade 4 mechanic duties and preventative maintenance on trailers and refrigeration.
• Conduct complex mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Diagnose and repair components including clutches, water pumps, tires, brakes and drive lines.
• Read service bulletins and manuals; maintain tools and paperwork.
• Work independently or in a team; participate in on-call rotation.
