Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is seeking a Manufacturing Controls Engineer for its Glendale, AZ plant. This on-site role focuses on high-speed beverage production, programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs on running lines, and improving equipment reliability.
You will lead on-shift automation support, mentor technicians, and drive controls projects to enhance throughput, safety, and quality. The position offers a 2-2-3 night shift, a $100,000–$130,000 salary, and a 20% target bonus
Qualifications
- 4+ years of industrial automation experience on high-speed manufacturing lines.
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting capabilities on Allen-Bradley platforms.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Excellent communication across plant departments.
- Willingness to work a 12-hour 2-2-3 night shift.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls expert for plant automation.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and networks.
- Identify recurring issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Lead controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
- Maintain backups, drawings, and change records; support commissioning and upgrades.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
