Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 3 for Monroe, WI on a 3rd shift (approx. 11:00pm–7:00am). Role involves installation, troubleshooting, repair, and PMs on form/label machinery to keep production running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in high-speed manufacturing, is proficient with electrical up to 480V, pneumatics, PLCs, and reading schematics. Safety and OSHA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance in printing/packaging or similar high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Diagnose and repair three-phase electrical systems up to 480V, mechanical drive systems, and pneumatic/hydraulic controls.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals specific to industrial printing machinery.
• Strong commitment to safety and OSHA regulations.
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of production machinery (presses, die-cutters, coaters, etc.).
• Collaborate to create and implement a Preventative Maintenance program.
• Perform scheduled PM on all production machinery and equipment.
• Execute emergency and unscheduled repairs of electro-mechanical systems up to 480V.
• Diagnose issues with web handling, tension control, servo drives, and registration systems.
• Read equipment manuals and blueprints for maintenance and overhauls.
• Provide mechanical and basic electrical support including PLCs and sensors.
• Log work orders and parts usage in CMMS; comply with Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Identify recurring issues with operators and reduce downtime.
