Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons in Monroe, WI is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 3 for the 3rd shift (approx. 11:00pm–7:00am). Starting at $31.00 per hour with a premium shift differential, you’ll install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain forms and labels machinery to meet production schedules.

You’ll perform PMs, emergency repairs up to 480V, read schematics, and support safe operations. This onsite role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years hands-on maintenance experience in printing/packaging or similar high-speed manufacturing.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing three-phase electrical systems up to 480V, mechanical drives, and pneumatic/hydraulic controls.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals for industrial printing machinery.
• Strong safety commitment and OSHA compliance.
• Must lift/move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain forms and labels machinery (presses, coaters, die-cutters, etc.).
• Collaborate with maintenance and Operations Manager to implement a Preventive Maintenance program.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Execute emergency and unscheduled repairs of mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose issues in web handling, tension control, servo drives, and registration systems.
• Read electrical schematics and blueprints to perform maintenance and overhauls.
• Provide basic welding, fabrication, and precise alignment of rollers and gears.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and process control instrumentation.
• Enter work orders, labor hours, and parts usage into CMMS.
• Maintain safety and clean work areas; comply with LOTO.
