Job summary

Packsize is seeking a Machine Technician to install, configure and maintain equipment at customer facilities in Joliet, IL. You will perform start-up testing, deliver training, and build strong customer relationships while traveling as needed.

The role requires problem-solving across mechanical systems, cross-functional teamwork, and adherence to safety standards. A background in associates or equivalent training supports eligibility for this full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related area preferred.
• Overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling tasks at a customer’s job sites
• Troubleshooting issues, quickly and effectively, using technical drawings and documentation
• Work cross-functionally with R&D, Software and Quality Engineering teams
• Performing routine maintenance and emergency services as they arise
• Analyze customer KPI's to identify machine performance issues and drive maintenance
• Continuous learning about the customer’s processes and packaging specifications
• Installation of Packsize solutions and training others to use and maintain it
• Clerical duties: reading/responding to emails, expense reports, travel arrangements, writing technical reports
• Communicate information clearly with Packsize and customer personnel
• Adhere to safety requirements and protocols
• Strong work ethic and time management skills
