Job summary

Packsize is seeking a diligent Resident Service Engineer to install, configure, and service packaging equipment at customer facilities in Joliet, IL. You will troubleshoot, perform routine maintenance, and provide on-site training while building strong customer relationships.

The role requires independent work, tool proficiency, and basic Microsoft or Google Suite experience, with a Monday–Friday night shift schedule. Travel to customer sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Training or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of Windows platforms and common software tools.
• Hand tool proficiency and mechanical understanding.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with Excel or Google Docs/Sheets a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Packsize equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot issues using technical drawings and docs.
• Coordinate with R&D, Software and Quality teams.
• Perform routine maintenance and emergency services.
• Prepare technical reports and travel arrangements as needed.
• Communicate clearly with Packsize and customer contacts.
