Responsibilities

• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach teammates to meet customer service and sales goals and training requirements.
• Assist in training new team members and cross-training high-potential talent.
• Help with department scheduling to boost engagement, service, and profits.
• Monitor product freshness and rotate stock per policies.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and safety policies.
• Lead tasks for ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and display as applicable.
• Support a diverse and inclusive Meijer culture.
• Operate registers and cash handling when needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories to meet goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments as needed.
