Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli) and customer service flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts by addressing root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information for informed decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to teach suggestive selling.
• Demonstrated ability to lead an organization that works safely at all times.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor team members across SDITs, hourly staff, and team leaders.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day operations across departments.
• Mentors and coaches team members; ensures customer service and sales goals are met.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales while meeting customer needs and service speed.
• Maintains store appearance focusing on prime shopping hours, product presentation and company standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development needs; involved in promotion decisions.
• Documents disciplinary actions and makes discharge recommendations.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and controlling shrink in the department.
• Models exceptional, fast, and friendly customer service.
• Ensures team is trained and has completed required training.
• Spends most time in-store communicating with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service.
