Job summary

Meijer is seeking a results-oriented store management professional to oversee day-to-day operations, mentor team members, and drive customer service excellence. You will coordinate staffing, hiring, and development while ensuring adherence to company standards and safety protocols.

The role emphasizes leadership in multiple departments, profit-and-loss responsibility, and continuous optimization of store performance. Related retail leadership experience is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience and 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in multiple store areas are a plus.
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and train team members; certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet store needs.
• Mentor and coach team members to achieve service and sales goals.
• Direct disciplinary actions and progression decisions when needed.
• Manage P&L, drive sales, and control shrink for the department.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and maintain store standards.
• Train staff in all job aspects and ensure required certifications are completed.
• Communicate Meijer initiatives in team meetings and practices.
• Maintain safe work environment and reliable attendance.
