Job summary

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET) seeks an Aircraft Mechanic III for night shift at NAS Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor, WA. You will lead maintenance teams, troubleshoot, repair, and modify complex structural elements on P-8/Boeing 737 platforms under NAMP guidelines, ensuring quality and schedule adherence.

Requirements include FAA A&P or equivalent, 6–8+ years of experience, and active CAC/Secret clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Active FAA A&P license or equivalent military credentials
• 6–8+ years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience
• Experience leading teams and O-level maintenance on maritime patrol or P-8/Boeing 737 platforms
• High School Diploma or GED; military aviation training or FAA program preferred
• U.S. Secret Clearance eligible; CAC eligibility

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and mentor maintenance teams to ensure schedule adherence and aircraft delivery milestones.
• Perform, modify, and overhaul aircraft structures, components, and engines; maintain subsystems like flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fuel systems.
• Serve as an authorized inspector, sign off maintenance actions for Mechanics I–III; log entries.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions across airframe and powerplant systems using blueprints and manuals.
• Act as primary technical contact to engineers and customers for structural and mechanical support.
• Use and enforce proper use of test equipment, torque wrenches, micrometers, and sheet metal tools.
