Job summary

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III to lead maintenance teams for P-8 aircraft at NAS Whidbey Island. The role requires expert troubleshooting, repair, and modification of complex structures and powerplant systems, aligned with NAMP and DoD contracts.

You will supervise Level I–III mechanics, ensure quality assurance sign-offs, and coordinate with engineers and customers.

Qualifications

• Active FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license or equivalent military credentials.
• Completion of formal military aviation technical training (Navy/MC A or C schools) or FAA A&P program preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance teams through aircraft modifications and complex maintenance efforts.
• Overhaul structures, components, and engines; maintain flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fuel systems.
• Act as an authorized inspector, review and sign off on maintenance actions.
• Diagnose complex malfunctions using blueprints, data, and manuals.
• Provide technical support to engineers and customers; ensure logs and records are accurate.
• Utilize aircraft‑specific test equipment and precision measurement tools.
