Job summary

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET) is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II for night shift to perform O-level maintenance on P-8 aircraft with Squadron VP-69 at NAS Whidbey Island, WA. You will troubleshoot, repair, and modify aircraft systems in accordance with NAMP and contract directives.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years of hands-on experience, an active FAA A&P license (or equivalent) and CAC eligibility, plus strong knowledge of naval publications and tool sets.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active U.S. military Secret Security Clearance and be eligible for a CAC.
• High School Diploma or GED required; formal military aviation training or FAA A&P preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience; experience with P-8/Boeing 737 platforms desirable.
• Active FAA A&P license or equivalent military credentials; CAC eligibility required.
• Strong knowledge of P-8 airframe and powerplant subsystems.
• Familiarity with Navy technical publications, blueprints, and manufacturer manuals.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical defects and isolate malfunctions independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications on P-8 aircraft airframes, structures, powerplants, avionics, electrical, and egress systems.
• Follow NAMP, technical data, and contract directives for all maintenance actions.
• Ensure compliance with military aviation safety standards and tool control, FOD prevention, and QA programs.
• Document maintenance actions in logs and approved systems.
• Support MEC, ECOD preparations, and MWOs with data and recommendations.
• Lead Level I/II mechanics and conduct peer inspections.
