Job summary

ACET on Whidbey Island seeks an Aircraft Mechanic III for day shift to lead maintenance teams on P-8/Boeing 737 derivatives. You will supervise technicians, inspect workflows, and ensure quality assurance under NAMP guidelines.

The role requires an active FAA A&P license, 6–8+ years of hands-on experience, and the ability to coordinate with engineers and customers while maintaining CAC and security clearance. NAS Whidbey Island duties and DoD contracting frame the position.

Qualifications

• Active FAA A&P license or equivalent military credentials.
• 6–8+ years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience.
• Experience leading teams and O-level maintenance on P-8/Boeing 737 derivatives.
• CAC and ability to obtain/maintain US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance teams through modifications and complex maintenance to meet schedules.
• Inspect, repair, and overhaul structures, engines, and subsystems (flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel).
• Authorize and sign off on work for Mechanic I-III; document in logs.
• Diagnose intricate failures across airframe and powerplant systems.
• Coordinate with engineers and customers for technical support.
• Utilize aircraft-unique test equipment and precision tools.
