Job summary

Paycom's night shift logistics team seeks a dispatcher to coordinate owner operators and third-party carriers for freight delivery from a distribution center in Texas. You will monitor load readiness, schedule deliveries, relay instructions, and ensure on-time performance while complying with hours-of-service rules.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to multitask, and experience with routing software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–3 years in distribution/transportation or equivalent.
• Proven ability to coordinate drivers and loads in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities of owner operators and third-party carriers.
• Monitor load readiness and dispatch times from the distribution center.
• Advise receiving locations of driver ETAs and adjust routes for on-time delivery.
• Maintain real-time delivery status and contact with contractors/drivers.
• Prepare routing instructions and participate in driver orientation at tender.
• Complete required reports and maintain compliance with hours-of-service rules.
