Job summary

East Coast CES of Texas is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate and schedule freight deliveries primarily during the night shift in Houston. You will ensure on-time shipments in line with customer requirements and communicate with drivers and customers to maintain schedule integrity.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and handling paperwork related to shipments. This is a full-time position with an 11pm–7:30am shift.

Responsibilities

• Manage truck drivers' schedules and routes.
• Schedule freight to be picked up and delivered.
• Maintain records of dispatched calls, driver routes, route changes, as well as delivery and pickup times.
• Keep track of transportation regulations and laws to ensure that truck drivers comply.
• Complete paperwork related to shipments, such as invoices.
• Communicate with customers about freight details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests.
• Plan pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as needed.
• Communicate with drivers to ensure they have the necessary information and resources to complete their routes
