Job summary

United Petroleum Transports in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Fleet Dispatcher for the 7 pm to 7 am shift (4 days on, 4 days off). You will dispatch loads, plan routes, and communicate with drivers to meet customer expectations and safety guidelines.

Key duties include promoting safety, tracking loads, handling paperwork, and coordinating with customers and internal staff. Minimum one year in dispatch or customer service, with good communication and knowledge of DOT regulations, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety in all actions.
• Control and complete paperwork as required.
• Safely plan driver trips around load/customer expectations and safety guidelines.
• Communicate with drivers regarding company and customer requirements.
• Relay to customer service any issues that need to be relayed to the customer.
• Assist drivers in planning routes and building loads.
• Prioritize loads for timely delivery.
• Track and trace all current loads in transit and deliveries.
• Assign loads to drivers in a fair and equitable manner.
• Assist drivers with planning for safe and timely transit of fuel and maintain hours of service/ELD logs.
• Communicate with drivers during check-ins from pickup to delivery.
• Monitor store inventories.
• Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor with drivers and staff.
• Communicate with CSC Manager and Customer Service Reps as required.
• Comply with corporate policies and safety procedures.
