Forward Air Corp. is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to safely load, unload, and move freight in a multimodal terminal setting. You will use various MHE and scanning devices to ensure accurate documentation and workflow efficiency.

The role requires a valid forklift certification, 3+ years of dock experience, and strong English communication. Expect a 6 PM–12 AM Monday–Friday schedule with opportunities to mentor newer Material Handlers and support safety procedures.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid forklift certification/licensure (or ability to obtain) before operating equipment.
• 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to recognize numbers, labels, barcodes, and freight markings; perform basic arithmetic.

Mansioni

• Load and unload freight using sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors, trailers, and warehouse areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight to ensure accuracy and documentation integrity.
• Identify damaged freight and report issues to supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe dock environment and PPE compliance.
• Work assigned schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
