Job summary

Forward Air Corporation is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to efficiently load, unload, and move freight in a fast-paced dock environment. You will operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE, scan and document cargo, and support safety procedures while maintaining accuracy.

The role requires 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience, a valid forklift certification, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Minim 3 years dock/warehouse experience required.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain prior to operating equipment.
• Proficiency with basic arithmetic and freight documentation.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors and areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Label, scan, and track freight to ensure accuracy.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe dock environment and report issues.
