Job summary

Forward Air Corp. is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely load, unload, stage, scan, and move freight in a multimodal terminal environment. You will comply with procedures, operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE, and maintain documentation accuracy and product integrity.

The role requires 3+ years dock or warehouse experience, a valid forklift certification, and strong English communication. You must be able to work varied shifts, including nights and overtime, and lift up to 75 lbs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid forklift certification/licensure (or ability to obtain before operating equipment).
• 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to operate manual and automated freight-tracking devices.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklifts and other MHE.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors and trailers.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight to ensure accuracy.
