Job summary

Forward Air Corp. seeks a reliable Forklift Operator to safely load, unload, and move freight in a multimodal terminal or warehouse. You will operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient workflow.

Responsibilities include scanning freight, coordinating with drivers, and maintaining a clean, safe dock. A valid forklift certification and 3+ years of warehouse experience are required; OT may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain) required.
• 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience required.
• Proficient in English and basic arithmetic for freight documentation.
• Willingness to learn company systems and scanners.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklifts and other MHE.
• Scan and track freight with handheld devices and company systems.
• Maintain safety and OSHA compliance on dock operations.
• Mentor new Material Handlers and support dock productivity.
