Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a skilled maintenance technician at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich in Greenwich, CT. The role centers on preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and keeping guest areas in top condition. You will work on building systems and guest spaces to uphold quality standards.

Ideal candidates have HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry experience, with a focus on safety and clear communication. This is an on-site position offering competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry).
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Climbing, reading, standing, walking, and routinely lifting 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to adapt communication style.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders to maintain the hotel equipment and facilities.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on room care and building systems.
• Check electrical systems and perform minor repairs or replacements where needed.
• Repair or refurbish hotel equipment, fixtures, and furnishings as required.
• Service the hotel's pool, including chemical adjustments and filter cleaning.
• Maintain exterior areas and curb appeal, including snow removal and landscaping tasks.
• Move furniture and fixtures throughout the building and assist with housekeeping-related tasks as needed.
• Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
