Job summary

Hyatt Regency Greenwich is seeking an Engineer I to maintain building systems and the building envelope, ensuring guest safety and comfort in a full-time on-site role in Greenwich, CT.

The candidate will perform routine and preventive maintenance, inspect electrical and HVAC systems, service hotel equipment, and help keep interiors and exteriors in top condition, with flexible schedule requirements including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Carpentry experience is required or certified.
• Hotel/building maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 25–50 lbs and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders (ceiling tiles, light bulbs, vinyl patches).
• Perform scheduled room care and basic electrical/lighting checks.
• Inspect and service hotel equipment: HVAC, boilers, kitchen and laundry gear, and plumbing fixtures.
• Maintain exterior curb appeal and refurbish furniture/fixtures in guest rooms.
• Respond courteously to guest questions and requests; ensure guest satisfaction.
