Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in the United States is seeking an Emergency Department Command Center Tech for FT Nights to manage EMS communications and coordinate hospital response under the ED Patient Flow Coordinator. You will document EMS data, relay requests to ED physicians, and assist with bed assignments and resource activation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS or equivalent Basic Life Support certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of pre-hospital or emergency department experience.
• Strong communication and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with pre-hospital providers (EMS, Fire, Police).
• Documents EMS communications in the designated tool.
• Relays order requests from EMS to the ED Physician and coordinates with the physician.
• Notifies the Patient Flow Coordinator if immediate hospital response is needed.
• Coordinates bed assignment with nursing and blocks beds on the ED board for EMS patients.
• Enters pre-hospital information into the EMR including EMS data.
• Maintains logs and reports as directed by policy and regulations.
• Provides summary reports to EMS Coordinator or ED leadership.
