Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks an ED Tech for the Emergency Department on the night shift. You will provide safe, age-appropriate patient care, monitor vital signs, perform EKGs and basic lab tasks, and assist with patient mobilization and wound care in a high-intensity ED setting.

Required are a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification; strong communication and teamwork are essential. This role supports patient safety and department operations in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS or ARC-BLS Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, age-appropriate care and document vital signs.
• Perform 12-lead EKG and relay results to ED physician.
• Perform bedside blood glucose testing and notify nurse of abnormal results.
• Assist with splinting and crutch ambulation techniques as directed.
• Perform sterile dressing changes and phlebotomy.
