Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks an ED Command Center Tech (PRN) to manage prehospital communications for the Kennestone/ Cobb EDs. You will coordinate hospital response, relay orders to physicians, and activate teams as needed.

Strong communication and EMS knowledge are essential. Requires high school diploma, BLS certification, and 2+ years in pre-hospital/ED settings; Paramedic EMS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• 2 years in pre-hospital or ED preferred.
• Paramedic certification and/or EMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with EMS, fire, and police to coordinate ED response.
• Documents EMS communications in the designated system.
• Relays orders from EMS to ED physicians and coordinates care.
• Notifies flow coordinators for resource activation and diversions.
• Maintains logs and EMS-related records for regulatory needs.
• Enters pre-hospital data into the EMR with patient details.
• Supports incident response and mass casualty communications.
