Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a dedicated Patient Flow Coordinator (RN) to manage ED throughput during night shifts. The role focuses on facilitating smooth patient placement, coordinating with ED teams and other departments to optimize care delivery and patient experience.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license with BLS; ACLS is required. Previous ED and charge nurse experience is preferred, and a collaborative, data-driven approach is expected.

Qualifications

• RN with current license and BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required; trauma experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills essential.
• Proficiency with vital signs and basic nursing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure care respects patient rights, preferences and expectations.
• Liaise between Bed Management, ED staff and other departments for timely patient placement.
• Supervise patient flow and department throughput with clear leadership.
• Provide regular feedback on throughput performance to ED team and leadership.
• Follow regulatory standards and Wellstar policies in all decisions.
