Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Nurse RN to serve as Patient Flow Coordinator in the Emergency Department. This full-time night shift (7 pm–7 am) role includes weekend premier differential and a focus on improving patient throughput.

The candidate will coordinate patient placement, monitor throughput, and collaborate with ED and ancillary staff to ensure safe, efficient care. Requires RN license, BLS/ACLS, and ED experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure care respects patient rights, preferences and expectations.
• Coordinate with ED staff to optimize patient flow and throughput.
• Provide feedback to ED leadership on practices affecting patient flow and safety.
• Routinely round ED triage areas, waiting rooms, and patient rooms to supervise flow.
• Serve as liaison between Bed Management, ED providers, nursing, case management, EMS, and other departments.
• Assist with organizing work environment and patient care teams to meet unit outcomes.
