Job summary

IGH L Inc on Long Island seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to serve individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting with daily living activities and community integration. You will model respectful interaction, document care, and support therapeutic goals.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, NYS driver’s license, SCIP and Adult CPR certifications, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Training for required certifications will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• NYS Driver’s license required.
• SCIP and Adult CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication and provides ADL support as per certifications.
• Uses redirection techniques and teaches self-care tasks.
• Maintains documentation and logs including billing and incident reports.
• Provides transportation and supervision during community activities and medical appointments.
