Job summary

IGH L Inc. in New York is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. The DSP will assist with ADLs, provide compassionate supervision, and help implement care plans under OPWDD guidelines.

The role requires a valid NYS driver’s license, SCIP and Adult CPR certifications, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training and ongoing certification maintenance are provided by IGHL.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid NYS Driver’s license.
• SCIP and Adult CPR certifications to be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication per OPWDD AMAP certification.
• Encourages choice and uses redirection techniques per SCIP certification.
• Supervises self-care routines and assists with ADL.
• Implements program goals related to communication, self-care, and independent living.
• Maintains documentation in all logs and records.
