Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is hiring a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration Technician in Kenner, LA. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel fleet equipment, including tractors and trailers, with tools and software documentation.

The candidate should have 3 years of hands-on experience and relevant TK/Carrier Refrigeration certifications. Travel for training is required. Day-to-day duties include preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and mentoring junior staff, with opportunities for

Qualifications

• 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician or equivalent.
• TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications required or preferred.
• Willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot reefer equipment repairs.
• Independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience administering PM programs.
• Must furnish own hand tools.
• Ability to read/write and perform basic math; read technical manuals.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with fleet maintenance software preferred.
• Welding ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, and complete required repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Receive road calls, coordinate with third-party vendors and partners on action plan.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment per safety rules and regulations.
• Document repairs and parts used using fleet maintenance software.
• Backup to other maintenance shop personnel.
• Mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
