Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is hiring a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel fleet equipment at our maintenance facility in Louisiana.

The role requires hands-on experience and TK/Carrier Refrigeration certifications, with willingness to travel for official trainings. The position offers competitive hourly pay, benefits from Day One, and opportunities to grow with a leading foodservice distributor.

Qualifications

• 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.
• TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
• Must be willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Receive road calls and coordinate with third party vendors and partners.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety rules and regulations.
• Document repairs and parts used using fleet maintenance software on a tablet.
• Mentor other maintenance shop personnel and back up teammates.
• Adjust to increased responsibilities and certifications as needed.
