Job summary

US Foods is seeking a skilled Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration maintenance technician to ensure a safe, reliable transportation fleet. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on diesel fleet equipment including tractors, trailers, bobtails, and lift gates, in a fast-paced distribution environment.

You’ll document work with fleet maintenance software, travel to training sessions, mentor junior staff, and uphold DOT standards while delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications

• 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician with required certs.
• Comfortable traveling for training provided by US Foods.
• Ability to read and follow technical/service manuals and PM programs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Receive road calls, coordinate with third-party vendors, and act on action plans.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment in compliance with safety rules.
• Document repairs and parts used in fleet software tablet.
• Mentor other maintenance shop personnel and back up team.
