Job summary

US Foods is seeking a diesel fleet maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on refrigeration-equipped equipment at our maintenance facility in Louisiana. The role requires hands-on experience with reefer systems, ability to read service manuals, and willingness to travel for training.

Qualifications

Three years of hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.
TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications required.
Willing to travel for training.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
Receive road calls, coordinate with third-party vendors, and plan actions.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment per safety rules/regulations.
Document repairs and parts used in fleet software on a tablet.
Backup to other maintenance shop personnel.
Mentor other maintenance staff.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
