Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer for a night shift in Glendale, AZ. You will serve as the on-shift controls expert, providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting across automated production lines in a high-speed beverage environment.

You will lead controls projects, mentor technicians, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to improve safety, reliability, and throughput.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology or related field.
• At least four years in industrial automation or controls in high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
• Experience with automated production, conveyors, and packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network issues; restore production safely.
• Develop controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
• Maintain backups, documentation, and change records.
• Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
