Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Glendale, AZ, is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer for the night shift. You’ll serve as on-shift controls expert, diagnosing PLC, HMI, and motion-control issues to keep high-speed beverage lines running safely and efficiently.

You’ll lead Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting, mentor maintenance technicians, and drive automation projects while collaborating with operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• At least four years of industrial automation/controls experience in high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming skills; ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and networked equipment.
• Diagnose and repair production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Read electrical schematics and control drawings to implement fixes.
• Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality and throughput.
• Mentor maintenance technicians and operators on controls technology.
• Support equipment commissioning, upgrades, and system integration.
