Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a Controls Engineer for a night shift on-site in Glendale, AZ. The role focuses on providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 automation support across high-speed beverage production lines, including troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servo systems.

You will mentor maintenance staff, lead controls upgrades, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to drive reliability and throughput improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in engineering technology or related field.
• 4+ years' industrial automation or controls experience in high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
• Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-shift controls and automation expert for the facility.
• Provide Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting for production, processing, and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues and implement fixes.
• Lead controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
