Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for the Glendale, AZ facility on the night shift, 2-2-3 schedule, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. This role serves as the on-site controls expert, troubleshooting and leading automation projects.

You will work with operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality to improve reliability, safety, and throughput, mentoring technicians and operators, and supporting modifications and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in industrial automation.
• 4+ years in industrial automation/controls in high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming required.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.
• Willingness to work a 2-2-3 night schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-shift controls expert and provide Tier 1/2 support.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues.
• Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
• Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
• Support equipment commissioning and system integration.
