Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is hiring a Controls Engineer for a night-shift, on-site role in Glendale, AZ. You will be the on-shift controls expert, troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and networks while guiding maintenance teams.

You will lead automation projects that improve throughput, safety, and reliability, with relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package available.

Qualifications

Associate degree in engineering technology or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
At least four years of industrial automation/controls experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and electrical control systems.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues.
Develop controls projects to improve safety, quality and throughput.
Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
