Job summary
Electrical Automation Services in Glendale, AZ seeks a Controls Engineer to lead night-shift automation support in a high-speed beverage facility. You will diagnose PLC/HMI, VFD, servo and network issues, implement fixes, and mentor maintenance technicians.
Responsibilities include projects that boost safety, quality, and throughput; participation in Change Management; and collaboration with operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams across the plant.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering technology, information systems, industrial automation and controls, or related field.
- At least four years of industrial automation or controls experience in high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls expert for automated production and packaging equipment.
- Diagnose and repair PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network issues.
- Lead controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
- Support equipment commissioning, retrofits, and system integration.
