Job summary
Electrical Automation Services in Glendale, AZ is seeking a night-shift Controls Engineer to provide on-site automation support for high-speed beverage processing lines. You will act as the on-shift controls expert, troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servo systems, and lead automation projects with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
This role offers a base salary of $100,000–$130,000 with a 20% target bonus and relocation assistance.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology or related discipline.
- At least four years of industrial automation or controls experience in high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
- Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Willingness to work a 2-2-3 night shift 6:00 PM–6:00 AM.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert for production.
- Provide Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting for PLC, HMI, drives, and networking.
- Diagnose issues, implement corrective actions, and improve reliability.
- Lead controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and equipment operators.
- Maintain backups, documentation, and change records.
