Job summary
Electrical Automation Services seeks an experienced Controls Engineer for an on-site role in Glendale, AZ. This night-shift position will support a high-speed beverage manufacturing facility, serving as the primary on-shift controls expert and providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting across PLC, HMI, VFD, and servo systems.
You will lead automation projects, maintain documentation, backups, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to improve safety,
Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years in industrial automation or controls in high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Excellent communication and cross-department collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert for production equipment.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation and networks.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues to restore production safely and efficiently.
- Lead or contribute to controls projects to improve safety, quality and throughput.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators; maintain documentation and backups.
