Job summary

Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital – Med Surg: IU 53 is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support RNs during the 7PM to 7AM shifts, with weekends and holidays rotation. This full-time role covers 36 hours per week and offers a pay range of $20.80 to $31.20 per hour.

You will assist with bathing, feeding, vital signs, and documentation in the EMR under RN supervision. BLS within 45 days and Nurse Aide in good standing are required, along with GED/HSED or high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

• Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital based certifications (e.g. DNV, CARF or others).

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care (bathing, feeding, ambulation).
• Measures and documents vitals; records in EMR.
• Performs rounding and communicates observations to RN.
• Prepares admissions/transfers/discharges under RN supervision.
• Collects specimens and assists with basic testing.
• Performs errands and stock management for nursing area.
• Positions and transports patients and supports client nutrition needs.
• Maintains skin care and uses necessary patient supplies.
