Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support RNs in Med Surg. Night shift 7:00pm–7:30am, every 4th weekend, and every other holiday, 24 hours per week. You will assist with daily patient care, document in EMR, take vitals, help with transfers, and coordinate with the care team under supervision.

Requires BLS certification, Nurse Aide in good standing, and a GED or HS diploma. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation; documents in EMR.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge process under supervision of RN; room setup and orientation to room.
• Performs purposeful rounding under direction of RN; communicates observations to RN.
• Performs tasks related to dietary needs and skin care; maintains patient supplies such as TED hose.
• Collects urine, stool, and sputum; performs point-of-care testing as indicated; may remove IVs under RN direction.
• Maintains infection prevention practices and uses proper attire in isolation.
• Coordinates tests and treatments; maintains knowledge of departments and EMR systems.
• Facilitates communications; screens calls; troubleshoots department equipment.
• Prepares chart forms; handles patient records; verifies demographic information.
• Establishes positive patient relations and assists in a harmonious work environment.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care knowledge and supports life-span needs as per department standards.
