Job summary

Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Iowa is seeking a Part-time Nursing Assistant for night shifts (6:30 pm – 7:00 am) with 24 hours per week and rotating weekends/holidays. Requires GED or HS diploma, BLS within 45 days, and Nurse Aide in good standing per state registry.

Responsibilities include assisting RNs with patient care, taking vitals, EMR documentation and patient transfers. Position offers benefits eligibility and a pay range of $20.80–$31.20 per hour, with weekend rotation and night

Qualifications

• GED or HS equivalency or HS diploma.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing per State Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measure and document blood pressures, TPRs, I&O, daily weights and other patient data.
• Document accurately in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Perform purposeful rounding under direction of RN and communicate observations to RN promptly.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge processes under RN supervision, including room setup and orientation.
• Maintain nursing area stock and cleanliness; assist with transport and positioning of patients.
