UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist for night shifts (9pm–7am), full-time with comprehensive benefits. The role involves reviewing orders, providing medication counseling, managing IV/central pharmacy operations, and collaborating with clinicians to ensure safe, effective pharmacotherapy.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree - BS in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
• Experience: 1 year of pharmacy experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: Eligible for licensure by Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) on hire; Texas license with TSBP within 30 days; ACPE-IV Sterile Compounding certification; BLS certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for inpatient positions within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs drug information and counseling; reviews medication orders for appropriateness, interactions, and safety.
• Manages technicians and oversees IV/central pharmacy operations; ensures proper distribution and inventory control.
• Communicates with physicians, nurses, and patients; documents interventions and supports cost-effective pharmaceutical care.
• Participates in clinical programs and pharmacotherapy monitoring; supports P&T initiatives and quality improvement.
