UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist for nights (9pm–7am), 7 on 7 off, at Zale Lipshy Pavilion. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth in a renowned medical center.

Requirements include a PharmD/BS, 1 year of pharmacy experience, Texas licensure within 30 days, and certification in sterile compounding. Inpatient experience and ACLS are preferred for certain units.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree - BS or PharmD
• 1 year of pharmacy experience
• English proficiency (speaking, reading, writing)
• Eligible for licensure by Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) upon hire
• Texas license with TSBP within 30 days
• ACPE-IV Sterile Compounding certification upon hire
• BLS certification upon hire
• ACLS certification required for inpatient positions within 180 days

Responsabilidades

• Performs responsibilities in line with organizational policies and infection control standards
• Enter orders accurately; review medication profiles for allergies, height/weight, and charges
• Assess therapeutic appropriateness of orders, document interventions
• Multi-task and provide direction; cross-train across areas as needed
• Enforce formulary; participate in cost-effective drug selection
• Communicate drug information to physicians and staff; educate patients and families
• Manage technicians and ensure accuracy of medications from IV/central/pharmacy dispensing
• Audit and sign out controlled substances per guidelines; investigate discrepancies
• Participate in ongoing education, orientation, and new projects
• Contribute to clinical program; monitor target drugs and provide optimization recommendations
• Perform duties that may involve direct patient care and handling of patient records
• Perform other duties as assigned
