Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist for the evening shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm) in Dallas. The role requires a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, at least one year of pharmacy experience, and eligibility for Texas licensure upon hire with licensure within 30 days.

BLS certification is required; ACLS may be needed for inpatient positions. Responsibilities include accurate order entry, therapy review, drug information delivery, patient counseling, and supervision of

Qualifications

Education BS or PharmD degree.
1 year of pharmacy experience; English proficiency required.
Eligible for Texas licensure by Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) upon hire; Texas license with TSBP within 30 days; ACPE-IV sterile compounding certification upon hire; basic life support (BLS) certification; advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) may be required for inpatient roles within 180 days.

Responsibilities

Perform medication order entry accurately and timely.
Review medication orders for appropriateness and safety; document interventions.
Communicate drug information to physicians and staff; assist in patient education and counseling.
Supervise technicians; ensure accuracy of medications and controlled substances handling.
Support P&T initiatives; monitor drug protocols and participate in quality improvement.
