Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist for nights (9pm–7am) at the Zale Lipshy Pavilion. This full-time role requires a PharmD or BS with 1 year of pharmacy experience, Texas licensure eligibility, and sterile IV compounding certification. BLS certification is required; ACLS may be needed for inpatient positions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree - BS degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• 1 year of pharmacy experience; English speaking, reading, writing.
• Eligible for licensure by Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) upon hire; Texas license with TSBP within 30 days; Sterile IV compounding certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may be required for inpatient positions.

Responsibilities

• Performs job responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and regulations.
• Enter orders and review medication profiles accurately and timely.
• Assess therapeutic appropriateness of orders and document interventions.
• Supervise technicians and ensure medication distribution accuracy.
• Communicate drug information to physicians and staff; educate patients and families.
• Participate in clinical programs and pharmacotherapy monitoring.
